I am a 21 year old guy who has come to know Jesus through a girl who is now my fiancee. I didn't believe in religions and I thought that The Lord was just that. But when I faced the evidences about him,his resurection and whom He said He was (and still),I knew then that The Lord is much greater than any religion. Interesting site...looking for information on Nicky Gumbel's Alpha Course, which I have taken. I cannot say that I agree with your view on Nickey's work, though. I have studied the Bible for many years and have been a Christian for 40 years after accepting Jesus as my Saviour at age 12. What Nicky teaches is sound and interesting and helps new Christians as well as those not so new.

I am already an deeply committed Christian, and I have many paper and hardback Bibles, and Bible study aids. What is the difference between total depravity and utter depravity? When I look up "total" and "utter" in the dictionary, I see no substantial difference between them. Indeed, the Random House Webster's College Dictionary (a fairly reputable dictionary) defines the word Utter as "complete; total; absolute." Frankly, the way most Calvinists teach this doctrine, it sounds as though man is not only effected in every part of his being with evil, but also is not effected in any part of his being by the original goodness that he had before the fall. None of that original goodness can be heeded before salvation, none of it can cause him to pray sincerely for the salvation of God. From that time until late last year I have been a member of churches which do not know how sinners are saved (although God gracefully used their efforts). I did a bible study search because I wanted to find a bible for our computer and was glad to come across your site with this free software. I downloaded 6 items based on your write-up, but would have liked to have a sample excerpt to better guage if they were what I wanted before downloading. After I look these over I will come back with a brief comment on their usefulness to me. I know at least the KJV will be used very regularly. I do have a missionary friend in China I will mention this to and see if he wants to contact you. Thanks for making these free.

Greetings, I downloaded your helpfile of Spurgeon's catechism recently and intend to use it to help in the teaching of my children. I found the format vey helpful and clear.
